Driving in Austria: Essential Rules

• Speed enforcement: Austria uses fixed cameras, mobile units, and section control that averages your speed over a stretch of road. Variable and environmental limits reduce some motorway sections to 100 km/h — always follow the posted and overhead signage rather than the default.
